What is GrapheneOS?
GrapheneOS is a privacy and security focused mobile OS with Android app compatibility developed as a non-profit open source project. It is focused on the research and development of privacy and security technology including substantial improvements to sandboxing, exploit mitigations and the permission model.
Why do you only sell Pixel phones?
GrapheneOS officially supports only Google Pixel devices because they are the only devices that meet the strict security requirements, such as having a proper secure element (Titan M/M2) and allowing custom operating systems to use verified boot.
Can I use Google apps?
Yes, GrapheneOS provides a compatibility layer that allows you to install and use Google Play Services as regular sandboxed apps without special privileges, giving you the choice of using Google apps while maintaining your privacy.
